June 21st, 2010. Published under Dental Insurance. No Comments.
Individual dental insurance plans are offered through several insurance carriers in the State of Utah.
Here are a few things to consider when choosing a plan:
Waiting periods; usually 6-18 months for basic and major coverage. Preventative coverage is usually offered immediately.
Co-Pays and Co-Insurance-This is the portion you pay after the dedectible (if any)
Maximum Annual Benefit: Typically $1,000, but I am seeing plans that go up to $1500
Deductibles: Typicaly $25-50 per person.
An Insurance Agent can help you choose the plan that is right for you. There is no discount if you shop on your own.
